Applications for Sanctioned Events

Canadian Biathlon Championships (March 25-30, 2025)Specific dates for the events will be determined by Biathlon Canada in consultation with US Biathlon, Nordiq Canada, and the Host.
Except in extraordinary circumstances, a host will only be awarded one Biathlon Canada sanctioned event each winter. Please apply for all of the events that you are willing to host. Biathlon Canada will schedule a conference call with each applicant prior to making a decision on awarding events.

Officials Course
Technical Delegate Course

Biathlon Canada is organizing a Technical Delegate course in November 2025. The course will involve an online session and an in-person session in Canmore. Biathlon Canada is seeking applications from interested officials. Applicants will be informed by the end of June whether they have been accepted into the course. Eligibility criteria and other details are set out in the application form in the link below.

The course will consist of two parts:
- An online session from 4-7pm Mountain Time on Saturday, November 22
- An in-person session at the Canmore Nordic Centre on Saturday November 29 and the morning of Sunday November 30

Biathlon Canada has created a form for coaches certified at the Community or Competition-Introduction level to indicate if they are interested in attending a Coach Developer or Competition-Development workshop in 2023. Responses will be open until January 31, 2023. Biathlon Canada will use the responses to plan coach workshops in 2023.
