BIATHLON CANADA ANNOUNCES TEAMS FOR 2023 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Its World Championships season at both the Senior and Youth/Junior levels. A total of 24 athletes from six Divisions have been named to represent Canada at the highest level for their age group. The senior-level World Championships take place in Oberhof, Germany and begin on February 8. World Youth Junior Championships take place March 4-12 in Shchuchinsk, Kazakhstan.

This is an exciting time where athletes throughout our sport in Canada have an amazing opportunity to compete at the highest levels, challenge themselves and wear the Maple Leaf with pride. We are all looking forward to extraordinary performances in Oberhof and Shchuchinsk. We are very proud of and thankful to all of the athletes, coaches and support staff who work so hard to make it possible for Canada’s Biathlon Teams to compete and perform on the world’s stage,” commented Tyson Wellock, Director of Development and High Performance.
