Biathlon Canada is thrilled to announce that Clayton Whitman will be joining the staff team as Sport Development Manager.
Clayton joins Biathlon Canada with a rich biathlon background. He is a Biathlon Canada Technical Delegate and Officials instructor, and an IBU International Referee. Clayton is also a Competition-Development Certified coach and Master Coach Developer, and participated in the redevelopment of Biathlon Canada’s Competition Introduction course. Additionally, he has been involved in many Organizing Committees including as Chair of two National Championships and one Biathlon Canada trials event. Professionally, Clayton has been a lawyer in British Columbia since 2007.
The Sport Development Manager role includes the oversight of Officials Development, Coach Development, Biathlon Canada Events, and Biathlon Canada’s Safe Sport program. Clayton will attend a Technical Representative conference for the 2023 Canada Winter Games this week and his first official day will be October 3.
